Cravings are Signals
Sometimes you get cravings that you just can’t put out of your head, no matter how hard you try and no matter how committed you are to shedding that extra weight. So what do you do?

First of all, don’t beat yourself up. Embrace it. Life is probably too bland for you right now and it’s a chance to spice things up. If you’re that starved for sweets, your body is talking to you and you ought to start listening. It’s a signal. So yield. Go ahead and splurge. Just commit to exercising for an extra hour this week and the extra pound or two will disappear. That’s what I do.

The Sweet Surprise

Now, here’s what you really need to know. Sometimes cravings that are really specific that come with a visual of a certain store (like Starbucks, the Bakery where you buy your croissant, a Candy Story where you purchase chocolate) - they may not be about cravings at all. They may come with a sweet surprise, like being in the right place at the right time. You may bump into the right person (romantic, business, someone you can network with), or catch a video clip or picture of something you need: the list is endless. And if you follow those cravings to the store that keeps popping up in your mind, life may become a little sweeter for you on all levels.

So give it a try and don’t forget to savor life while you’re at. Even if nothing happens other than you enjoy that craving, you will have brightened your day. Your smiles go miles and will sweeten the lives of everyone you meet. In fact, when your spirit is lifted, you may attract more of what you’re looking for in life.

Encouraging words go a long way to shifting us into a positive experience. That’s true for self talk and relationships with others. The Buddha sees the enlightened soul in all it’s full glory and realized potential. They will remind you of who you truly are. Their belief in you can spark a belief in yourself that can propel you forward to living your passion and feeling confident and secure in your relationships, work and life in general. Self doubt and insecurity melt away in the warmth of their kindness and compassion.

Everyone knows what it’s like to be insulted or criticized, especially if you create something and put yourself out there for others. It feels horrible and can trigger more negative experiences and feelings about the self. But one kind word from a person can wipe away years of negativity and the tears from someone else’s ignorance. So when you have the opportunity to praise someone, leap into action. People who praise others are truly praiseworthy.

Someone who keeps cutting people down to size will eventually find it very hard to stand tall themselves. Never dim your light just because someone else is in the dark. The worst thing anyone can do is shy away from their own greatness, even in the face of someone else’s dislike or criticism of what they are creating.

Creative juices are the elixir to life. You were born to create. Refusing to use your God-given talents is like returning the perfect gift that someone took an eternity to pick out to make sure it was just right for you. No matter what anyone thinks of you in any given moment, always remember that people who create something from nothing are really something. And that includes you. So give yourself a pat on the back when you accomplish something you set out to do and surround yourselves with others who will do the same for you. You deserve it.
The payoff is enormous.
Five Reasons to Produce Your Own Independent Film
1. When you produce your own movie, you can also act in it without having to audition. You instantly become a star and can proudly walk the red carpet with other stars. Publicity is paramount in becoming a celebrity and film festivals push you right into the limelight and press.

1. If your film is accepted to film festivals, you instantly gain credibility and respect in the industry, especially if you get into one of the top 25 or top 10 biggest film festivals in the world like I did.
2.	You get instant access to network with the right people. Celebrity stars, producers and directors attend film festivals with their own films so you can get up close and personal with them. You can learn insider secrets and build relationships with them. Always bring business cards and be able to deliver a logline about your film that hooks them in seconds because they will ask you what your film is about. If you can cut to the chase without chasing them away, you may be able to open another door. I got up close and personal with the Sugar Hill Gang. Master Gee and HenDogg even plugged my radio show on video! At the Sunscreen Film Festival, after I spoke up in a workshop, established television and film actor Michael Roberts approached me and asked for my card and then emailed me to stay in touch! And by the way, that’s me with Ed Asner in the picture.
3.	If you meet an influential person in Hollywood or a person with ties to the “right people” and you either show them your movie trailer (on your smart phone) or hand them a DVD of your film which was an official selection at a film festival, they are more likely to watch it and engage with you, particularly if you can deliver a knock out logline that hooks them. They will instantly know that you have what it takes to make it because you did what it takes to make it – which is persevere until you had a finished professional product. Success attracts success.
4.	Film festivals are fun. You get to party Hollywood style with Hollywood celebrities. When I went to the Garden State Film Festival, I took my video camera so I could get hi-lights of the festival and then I put together a quick teaser for them. It gives you an idea of how exciting the film festival circuit could be!
You are an infinite being with infinite creative powers.
It’s time to let go of limited ways of thinking. If you only look at what is here now, you leave no room for creation. We are on the precipice of creating a new world. As John Burroughs said, “Leap and the net will appear.” Remember, when you can’t see past your own horizon, the creative force of love can take you beyond it if you let it. Choose love now.
Recommended Video: 2012 A Message of Hope
I highly recommend taking some time to watch this video 2012: A Message of Hope. It will stir something inside of you and expand your conscious awareness. You will begin to remember who you are and what you can do while you are here.

They embrace their true essence and live fully in the moment.

It’s not something you plan to become. It happens naturally after you give yourself permission to be true to yourself and that means following your dreams and your instincts while letting go of what others think of you and what is or is not possible. That’s why I always say when the spirit moves you, move.

A Free Spirit Lights a Spark in Others

Give yourself permission to be who you truly are and do what you want to do. When you do that, you ignite a passionate fire inside you that cannot be snuffed out by anyone or anything and you begin to expand yourself and your perceived abilities at warp speed.

A free spirit lights a spark in others so when you become a free spirit yourself, you become a lighthouse for the rest of the world.
Blissing It

Many people talk about living a blissful life and they will tell you what bliss is. But keep in mind that they are speaking of their own bliss. Bliss may mean something entirely different for you so don’t get pulled into someone else’s belief system.

If you want to live the blissful life, then you need to do what makes you happiest. Create the life you want, not what someone else wants for you or from you. That is a sure fire way to burn you up in your path. Instead, tap into your own desires and dreams and start following through on them with unbridled excitement. This will ignite a passionate fire from within that cannot be snuffed out by anyone or anything.

Bliss Magnet

Connect with the people that lift your spirits – the ones that make you laugh and smile. When you smile, you beguile everyone in your path. Smiles go miles.

You will begin to meet like-minded people and synchronicity will hit you over the head like a hammer and shake those doubting cobwebs from your head. As you step into a world of abundance and support, you will begin to smile from deep within. As you do that, your bliss will naturally touch others and you will effortlessly become a magnet for everything you want. You will be living your bliss, which no one will want to miss. So start creating. It is your manifestation destination.

You are as beautiful as a moonlit sky and an expansive field of wild flowers, untouched by the hands of technology. When you take the time to step away from stress and turn your attention to nature and the people around you who are constantly uplifting and loving you unconditionally, you begin to experience bliss. As you do that, your own pure essence naturally arises and you find yourself immersed in a world of divine abundance. That is the gift of the pure ascended master, who supports, loves, encourages, befriends, reminds and nurtures you in your journey so that you experience, peace, joy and miracles along the way.
Recommended Video: In Honor of Dr. Ajay Kotwal (Samadhi Guru): Ascended Master, Beloved Guru, Friend, Muse, Healer, Author, Poet, Artist and Creative Genius
I made this video to honor Dr. Ajay Kotwal, one of my beloved gurus who mystically and magically guides me on my journey on a moment to moment basis. He is a ray of sunshine on dark days, always bliss manifesting. He is a constant reminder that dreams are made to be lived and nothing is impossible when you put your mind, heart and soul into it and love without holding back.

To find out more about Dr. Ajay Kotwal, you can visit his website at http://www.ajaykotwal.com/index.html
Sure it’s got it’s ups and downs and a fair share of responsibility that may sometimes feel overwhelming. But you can shift into a blissful experience the moment you shift your focus to something that brings you joy.

A free spirit is one that lets go of fear and worry to embrace the blissful experience of living. Your desires and dreams come from deep within and will tug at your heart until you embrace them and start following them to your heart’s content. Love chases dreams and catches them.

The moment you commit yourself and take one step, even if it’s a small one, toward the realization of your goals, it’s as if the entire universe wakes up with you. When you do what you love, you love what you do and you immediately enter a world of abundance.

Bliss Intoxicating

There’s no doubt about it. If something makes your heart sing, then you are in harmony with the universe and life becomes a glorious symphony. Something mystical and magical begins to unfold in your life.

When you are filled with joy, it spreads like wildfire. You develop a magnetic personality that effortlessly draws like-minded people and positive experiences to you. As a result, life becomes bliss intoxicating.

So it’s time to embrace your creative spirit and create the life you always dreamed of. I was able to get up close and personal with a swan family and it took my breath away.

When I first arrived and set up the camera, the male swan immediately came out of the water and headed straight for me. And since I was only six feet from him, naturally I got a little nervous. So I said a mantra that my guru gave to me and he immediately stopped and started posing for the camera. What transpired after that was simply awe inspiring.
Recommended Video: Swan Lake by Beth Rosen
I invite you to take a few minutes and watch this video. It is sure to put a smile on your face.
Instead, stand up for what does.
3. Get up to speed on the latest technology and hone your internet skills. Get connected on the worldwide web and become a voice of reason that resonates around the world. You can do this with blogs, articles, videos, podcasts, forum sites, online radio shows, online television shows, Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites.
4. Use your gifts to spread your light, wisdom, laughter and peace.
5. Remember to take time to do the things you love to do and share times of joy, peace and prosperity with those less fortunate than you without losing yourself in the process.
Recommended Video: Kat Edmonson -- Be the Change
I highly recommend watching this video. It will spark a passionate fire in you and remind you how simple it is to spread love, wisdom and empowerment. Namaste.
It happens to more people than you know. If you now find yourself hopelessly addicted to medications that are dulling your spirit, do not give up hope. Be kind and gentle on yourself and seek out professional help to safely ween yourself off and build up the amino acids and vitamins your body needs to find a proper balance. Often times a food allergy is misdiagnosed by psychiatrists who then prescribe medications for mental diseases that adversely affect the brain chemistry and give you side effects and diseases that you never had.
Do not let someone else’s label for any disease define who you are. You are much bigger than that and you can still do extraordinary things in this lifetime, no matter how you feel right now. Be patient with yourself because it takes time to ween off safely. Find something that makes your heart sing and focus your attention and energy there. When you come from the spirit within, you vibrate higher than any disease and you can kick any addiction. I know because I did it.
Recommended Videos/Audio by Beth Rosen
These videos and audio are inspirational in helping you to overcome post traumatic stress disorder and medical drug addiction. They are featured in the #1 best selling book, Living Proof with Beth Rosen and Secret Star Lisa Nichols. The videos teach you how to move forward with your dreams as a way to let go of the past. You can read the free mutilmedia chapter “Running to the Light” with videos and audios at http://bit.ly/livingproofmultimbbethrosen.
Wisdom Comes from Experience

Wisdom comes from experience: some good and some bad. But no matter what the origin, the wise can often steer you in a direction that serves not only you but a higher purpose as well. They often dig up the past to find buried treasure. Then they share those pearls of wisdom with you.

The Earmarks of a Wise Man or Woman

So how do you recognize wise people? They are often short and pithy in their statements and they get right to the point. They don’t waffle. They take their own experiences and what they learned from them and invite you to apply it to your own situation. Rarely do they force their views upon you or tell you exactly what to do. Why? Because they understand that you ultimately know what’s right for you and they can only guide you based on what they have gleaned from their own journey.

They instinctively know that when someone is forced to do something, the natural reaction is to do the opposite. So they often engage you in a dialog which naturally allows you to apply your own intuition with simple logics and reasoning based on past experiences - yours, theirs and many others who have successfully walked a path similar to yours.

The Gift of Wisdom
There’s no doubt about it. The learned have learned the hard way. When a wise person offers you their take on a situation, you are being presented with a gift of enormous proportions. Without abandoning your own values, try to check your ego at the door (the “I know that already” or “I know better”) and take in fully what they say. If anything gives you cause for pause, explore it, either with them or others to gain further insight and understanding. Sometimes you may bring something to the table that they never entertained in thought. Other times they may have even deeper wisdom and understanding that they will be more than happy to share with you if they realize you are open to delving even deeper into the subject matter.

Wise people can often show you the ropes so you can start climbing them yourselves. They can help you remove perceived obstacles from your path so that your own journey is more enjoyable. So if you find yourself in the company of a wise person, consider yourself very blessed. The way is being made easier for you.

And one more thing to keep in mind. Like-minded people often find each other. So if you have attracted wise people into your life, chances are you have the seed of wisdom as well. Don’t be shy about allowing your own wisdom to blossom and unfold.
The Red Carpet

It’s been a life-long dream of mine to write for television and the big screen and on April 14, 2011, I finally got to walk down my first red carpet at the Sunscreen Film Festival where my first film, Photo Finish, premiered. I co-wrote, produced, financed, acted in, edited and scored some of the music for the film so this was a huge step for me. People are starting to see my work product. That’s me on the right in the photo with star Peggy McGuinness on the left and co-star Michele Meises in the middle.

The Gift of Showing Up and Being Yourself

As soon as I got there, I introduced myself to the people running the film festival, the media and other film makers to break the ice, which made the rest of the week a pleasure. Suddenly I felt at home even though this was brand new territory to me and I was more than a little nervous when I arrived. I decided to let go of expectations and just be myself. When you’re at ease, those around you are at ease and it all becomes easy breezy.

It was a real treat for me to watch my film on the big screen and hear the audience laughing at my film. Success! That made all the hard work in producing it worth it, especially when people told me they loved it.

Because I had introduced myself to the media, a press person came to the screening of my film. She enjoyed it so much she asked me to be on her radio show to talk about the film and the Sunscreen Film Festival. More success and more fun!

And talk about synchronicity, because the radio show host, Ann Marie Cash, mentioned how much she admires Lisa Nichols when we were talking about inspiring people, since we’re having a book launch party for the new book I co-authored with Lisa Nichols in 2 weeks, she’s now coming as my guest to the party and getting to do a private interview with Lisa Nichols! You never know what the universe has in store for you.

Not only did I learn about the business of film making and the next steps to take to successfully launch my film career while attending the workshops, but I met like-minded people who are intensely passionate about film and television and who were more than willing to show me the ropes. I know some of these people will be friends for life.

Here’s the movie trailer for Photo Finish. Hope you enjoy it.

Your face will actually glow with the pure essence of you.

Magnetizing Your Potential
When you send your very best out into the world, the world sends it’s very best back to you. I call it magnetizing your potential. You will effortlessly attract the attention of others as you shine your light. Why? Because people naturally turn their face to the sun and bask in its warmth. Beauty in its pure essence stops people dead in their tracks. It is something to behold. And so are you.

When you live from a place of pure joy, you can actually create a ripple effect that can circle the globe without you even being aware of it. Smiles go miles.

So I invite you to do what makes your heart sing. When you do, you shine brighter than any star in the sky.

A smile effortlessly arises on your face. It’s bliss intoxicating!

A smile spreads like wildfire, burning down all negativity in its path. It uplifts everyone and everything it encounters. It’s more contagious than any disease. It has the power to change the world in an instant. It does not sit and simply observe itself. It is the most active ingredient in this universe and it’s unseen force never ceases to weave it’s magic.
It is intoxicating and contagious. It swirls around, in and through you, sweeping you into the dance of life. It chases dreams and catches them. It takes you beyond your limits until you realize you have no limits. It reaches out to all walks of life – to every corner of the universe – to flow unobstructed.
It uplifts, supports and heals. It empowers and cleanses. It flows, nourishes and bestows. It protects, teaches and rescues.
It whispers. It speaks. It shouts.
It yields. It is the only takeover not worth fighting.
It applauds, appreciates and respects. It engages, strengthens and softens.
It embraces and unfolds.

It reminds and awakens us.
It is the strongest fabric in the universe and it ultimately weaves us all together.
You are one of those important threads.
If you're not enjoying the journey, you're on the wrong path. Head in another direction that serves you and a higher purpose.

2. Do what you love while you're doing whatever you do. Like they say, whistle while you work. Dance while you cook. Listen to music and sing while you travel.

3. Fall in love with yourself, others and life.

4. Spend time doing the things that make your heart sing. Then you will be in harmony with the universe.

5. Be with the ones you truly love.

6. Create create create!

7. Give unconditionally when your cup runneth over.

8. Live your passion.

1. Take time and exercise the body as well as the mind.

1.	Follow your heart, not someone else.
2.	Spend time outside in nature.
3.	Befriend happy and successful people so you lift your spirits and learn their secrets to success.
4.	Take steps toward the impossible so that it becomes possible.
5.	Share you gifts with the world. Believe it or not, they are waiting for you.
6.	Seize the moment.
Give Life a Chance

No matter how dim things may look, always give life a fighting chance. Sometimes it may be hard to see what the future holds but if you believe in a higher power, yourself and others, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised as things take a turn for the better - even better than you could have possibly imagined. Life is the greatest gift in the world and there’s no need to cut it short.

There’s an old saying, “Don’t quit five minutes before the miracle.” With patience and perseverance, anything is possible. Give yourself and others an opportunity to grow and you will be amazed at the results.

An Unusual Case Study
They say patience is a virtue and it’s true. Last month, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my cast party. It was simply breathtaking with winding branches that reached 4 feet high.

As the flowers began to wilt, I couldn’t help but sense an urgent need to resist throwing the flowers away. There was something very special about this bouquet. So I said a silent prayer to keep the dried flowers from falling and making a mess every day and then I made a vow to be patient and give the greens an opportunity to live -- to wait and see what happened.

Two weeks later, those brown branches turned green and started sprouting small curly leaves. I looked inside the vase and they were growing roots! So I continued to add water and change it from time to time. Although the flowers didn’t make it, one month later, those branches are still growing strong. At times, you can actually see the branches vibrating as they continue to sprout. I sense that it will eventually need to be planted and potted in soil. I think it may actually be a tree!

Can you imagine if I didn’t give those brown branches a chance to live? I would have missed something extraordinary. I would have cut life off before it had a chance to blossom into something even more beautiful.

The Hidden Gift

When I look at the vase now, I marvel at its simplicity and beauty. It definitely has an Eastern feel to it, resembling something you would find in a Buddhist Temple. I remember when I decided to wait and see what happened, there was a still silence in my house. I couldn’t help but notice all the items I had purchased from around the world that had originated in Buddhist temples and India. In that moment, I was vibrating on a higher consciousness with the tree and the places where those holy objects originated.

I marvel at the way the universe works on many different levels. A few months ago I looked at my coffee table and wished that I had a permanent centerpiece for it, without having to buy freshly cut flowers all the time because I’m not a big fan of cutting flowers for commercial reasons. As I look at those beautiful branches in the vase, I can’t help but think because of my patience and giving life an opportunity to strut it’s stuff, my desire was ultimately filled as well.
The best and fastest way to get in the know is to seek out knowledge right away. Here are a few simple ways to get answers to questions quickly.

1. Ask questions. Ask a person standing in front of you. Call customer service. Make inquiries on social networks and websites. Contact experts.
2.	Research the answer yourself.
3.	Do an online search for answers. Help is now at your fingertips.
4.	Set your intention to find the answer, silence the mind and wait for the answer or a clue from the universe to put you in the right direction.
5.	Do a very short meditation to open your third eye and other high sensory perception to receive direct knowledge.
6.	Pay attention to what is happening around you. Sometimes the universe is pointing you in the right direction but you’re looking in the wrong direction.

The harmonies have an ability to uplift the soul and touch the heart. I highly recommend this video from Straight No Chaser. It will take you back to your college days. It’s fun, unpredictable and in the holiday spirit.

The Fountain of Youth is Inside -
Secrets to Make You Look and Feel Young

The Fountain of Youth is actually inside. You can stop searching for it now. Long gone are the days of emptying your wallets to purchase make-up, skin products, dietary supplements, fitness gadgets or cosmetic surgery that barely scratch the surface.

These are only gimmicks that are drawing you away from your own natural fountain of youth. If you look at yogis who live simple lives well into their nineties and hundreds, they tend to look young, resilient and extraordinarily happy, notwithstanding their age. The ancient art of yoga, which goes well beyond just physical exercise, is really the key to unlocking the fountain of youth.

As you tap into some of the life-enhancing philosophies of the east that put you in tune with your body and the environment, you will most naturally avoid taking synthetic products that could actually block the free flow of your natural energy. The body has its own inner balancing mechanism and it could be thrown way off kilter by taking foreign supplements on a regular basis that may clog your bodily systems and cause greater health problems than they were meant to cure.

Part of the secret to eternal happiness and youth is to live from the spirit within. Here are 10 simple steps that are designed to awaken your natural radiance and help you look and feel younger and healthier than your biological counterparts.

1. Engage in proper exercise. Participate in invigorating sports you love and incorporate yoga as learned from an enlightened hatha yoga master into your daily exercise routine. Masters are trained to help you tap into your own natural pranic energy, which keeps you looking and feeling young, fit and healthy. It can also make your skin glow naturally from head to toe without the use of any make-up or skin products.

2. Exercise the mind as well as the body by continuing to learn new things in areas that interest you.

3. Do the things that make you happy. Smile and laugh every chance you get.

4. Listen to music that makes your heart sing.

5. Live a simple and balanced life.

6. Fall in love with yourself, life and others again. Love is the most beautiful make-over.

7. Give unconditionally from the heart.

8. Eat a healthy balanced diet, preferably a vegan diet.

9. Live a passionate life by doing the things you always dreamed you would do, no matter how old you are.

10. Take approximately 20 minutes each day to meditate or sit quietly in nature.

As soon as I started doing yoga, my body became flexible, supple and young again without the need of any other products. As I learned to incorporate the life enhancing philosophies of the east with the faced-paced modalities of the west, I was able to tap into my own creative spirit and fall in love with life again. I’ve seen it happen in so many others. People simply radiate beauty as they learn to do this without the need for make-up or other supplements.

Are you ready to tap into your own fountain of your and radiate your own inner beauty?
You Can Change the World

It’s true what they say. Life is a wheel in constant motion. But if you feel like you have a flat, then you’ve come to the right place. It’s time to get a new set of wheels and a different spin on the state of the world today.

You’re not alone in wishing things could be different. But your wishing they were different won’t make them any different. Let’s face it. Most people are are idealistic when they’re younger, thinking they can change the world. Then as they get older and life reigns down on them, the fight tends to go right out of them. You can see it in their eyes and the way they carry themselves as they resign themselves to the status quo. If you’ve fallen prey to this negative thinking, it’s time to shift not only your outlook on life but your entire experience of it.

The Wake-up Call

It’s important, not only for yourself but for the younger up and coming generations to remain positive and believe in our collective power to make a positive impact toward peace, harmony and abundance for all. No matter how dim things may look at the moment, there is still a powerful movement taking place today to counter the malaise and apathy that has seeped into modern day society. You can see it in many different forms of social media, on the internet, in the entertainment industry and even in your own local community, where people use their gifts to heighten awareness and motivate people into action. People are reaching out to each other in all walks of life in all parts of the world. Why not join them and become a powerful instrument of change?

A Healthy Dose of Optimism Coupled with Prompt Action

Everyone’s talking about the power of now but no one is talking about the power of you. You are more powerful than you give yourself credit for. Stand up for what does not sit right with you. There’s no doubt about it. You can change the world if you get back in it. Use your gifts to raise awareness. Sign petitions for causes you believe in. Donate some time or money to charities. Withdraw your support from corporations and individuals that do things that cut at the moral fabric of society. As you scale back, the scales of justice come back into balance.

When you wake up and ignite a passionate fire in yourself, you will naturally light a spark in others. A healthy dose of optimism coupled with prompt action can cause an unstoppable chain reaction. If you lead with the heart, the mind will follow and so will everyone else. And we can change the world together.

Recommended Video by John Legend and the Roots

I highly recommend taking a few minutes to watch this video by John Legend and the Roots. It’s an example of how one inspirational song can reach over 500,000 people on the internet, and the numbers are still climbing. Imagine the possibilities.

Technology is moving so fast it can’t keep up with itself anymore, and sometimes neither can we. God forbid someone can’t get a cell phone connection or their internet connection goes down, the very ground beneath them crumbles.

Emotions can flare up at the slightest event because people are at their boiling points. So how do you cool off when things heat up, especially if you don’t want to blow off steam in someone’s general direction? I’m glad you asked.

10 Tips to Cool off When Things Heat Up

Peace of mind can keep you from falling to pieces. Here are 10 things you can do to remain calm, centered and focused when things are unraveling around you.

1. Take a deep breath, step back and separate yourself from the instigating event so you can get a proper perspective.

2. Have compassion for someone who flies off the handle, including yourself. Acknowledge that people are stressed and have a lot going on in their lives just like you do and give them some breathing room when it happens.

3. Offer to lend someone a helping hand when the opportunity arises but don’t let them pull you down when you give it to them.

4. Refocus your energy on something calming and relaxing, such as a pet, the view, or someone who is smiling because they are not engaged in the drama that is unfolding before you.

5. Learn to laugh it all. A word to the wise, try not to laugh at the person flying off the handle. That usually doesn’t go over well.

6. Tell a joke. It can quickly lift your emotional state.

7. Shorten your to-do list or delegate to others.

8. Take a break and do something fun. Sometimes the best solution is to walk away and come back when things calm down.
5 Power Mantras to Help You Master
Your Mind in the Face of Negativity

Life is full of challenges and if you’re not careful, your mind can take an unauthorized trip down negativity lane. When that happens, you can get stuck in a negative feedback loop that can keep you stagnating and prevent you from moving forward toward your goals. In order to help you master your mind, here are 5 fun power mantras. They will accelerate your ability to control your mind in the face of adversity and turn your frown upside down.

1. Hocus Pocus Focus
When your mind gets scattered, you get overwhelmed by too many tasks at once or you get a bout of ADD (attention deficit disorder), use this power mantra: “Hocus Pocus Focus!” It will help you focus your energy like a laser beam on the most important task at hand and it will lighten your mood while you’re at it.

2. What’s the problem now? Oh that’s right. What problem?
When you focus on your problems, you feed them with energy and you actually notice them more. I’ll tell you a secret. If you mind it, your mind will make more of it. So next time something bothers you, laugh to yourself and say, “What’s the problem now? Oh that’s right. What problem?” The problem will fade into the background as you take front stage. Re-direct your vital energy to feed your dreams instead.

3. Never give up. Give it your all!
When you encounter perceived obstacles that make you want to throw in the towel and give up, use this mantra, “Never give up. Give it your all!” You don’t have to get discouraged. Just get up to speed and get going. Remind yourself that those who find a way, lead the way.

4. No just means not yet. Keep going.
If you want something badly enough, then don’t allow someone else’s “no” to take you out of the game. Use this power mantra: “No just means not yet. Keep going.” Perhaps you need to improve on what you’re doing and a little more time and effort on your part will do the trick. Or perhaps this is not the right door for you. It may be time to look for another one. I’ll tell you a secret. Successful people don’t simply walk through open doors, they knock them down.

5. Don’t get stuck on yuck.
Always remain positive. If you encounter any kind of negativity, don’t let it pull you down or get mired in negative thoughts. Instead, tell yourself, “Don’t get stuck on yuck.” It will lighten your mood immediately and stop the negative feedback loop.

When you know how to deal with no, life becomes one big yes. Commit to mastering your mind and stepping into the power of you.
Sometimes the only way to awaken the soul again is to reignite that passionate flame through memories, music and images.
The Dance of Life
An affair to remember is one that makes you forget everything else. When someone makes your heart sing, then you are in harmony with the universe when you are with that person. So if someone special dances into your life, savor each moment and enjoy the dance of life with them while they are here.
Recommended Video: Thought of You by Ryan Woodward, Music by The Weepies: The World Spins Madly On.
I highly recommend this beautifully animated video by Ryan Woodward, music by the Weepies: The World Spins Madly On. Each one has it’s own rewards and benefits.
Relationships involve teamwork and like any game, it’s important to know the rules of engagement. The trick is to learn how to play without getting overly defensive or offensive so you can both come out as winners. I call it relationship rugby. The truth is that no matter how good a relationship is, sometimes you head into turbulent waters that rock the boat. So how do you handle those dicey moments without cutting the ties to an otherwise perfectly good relationship?
The first thing to realize is that any relationship can survive the rough bumps if you smooth things over. If you want a relationship to work, you need to work at it and relate to the other person. That means getting out of your head and into your heart.
10 Tips to Keep a Relationship on Track
Here are 10 tips to keep your relationship on track when it looks like you’re heading for a train wreck.
1. If a relationship needs repair, re-pair it. Since you are playing the enlightenment game, you may have be the one to take the initiative and take control of the steering wheel.
2. Don’t get stuck on yuck. Shake off the bad stuff and quickly move onto the good stuff.
3. Learn to listen without interrupting or judging. Giving someone the forum or opportunity to speak about what is not working goes a long way.
4. If a problem arises, don’t sweep it into the rug. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean that it’s not there. You’ll eventually need to clean up the mess anyway. The longer you wait, the bigger the problem gets. So do it now. If something is not working, acknowledge it, take responsibility for what you can fix and then fix it.
5. Work together to find solutions. Teamwork often produces the best work and a joint effort is effortless.
6. Keep your promises. A broken promise leads to a broken heart.
7. Avoid speaking badly about someone when you disagree with them. When you bad mouth someone, it leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
8. Avoid blaming the other person. Nobody ever wins the blame game. Sometimes taking the higher ground means putting yourself on equal footing.
9. Step back from a bad situation so you can clear your mind. A clear mind can clear up any misunderstanding.
10. Transform negative feelings and avoid emotional scars by focusing attention on the other person’s strengths, talents and positive contributions to the relationship. When you find something good about the other person and let them know about it, you both shift into a higher vibration.
It can be downright exhausting for you and those around you. So how do you get out of it quickly so you can fly the friendly skies again?

5 Sure-Fire Ways to Shift Your Emotional State

The good news is you don’t have to take a happy pill. Here are 5 unconventional ways to shift your emotional state.

1. Call an old friend with a sense of humor who always makes you laugh, even when you dump your problems on them. It’s the best way to turn your drama into a comedy. You’ll be laughing at your problems in no time flat.

2. Think of your favorite cartoon or movie character – the one who always puts a smile on your face. I always think of Yoda from Star Wars, with his ears twitching back, and his cute sing-song voice as he looks at me and says, “Emotional, we are today.” That makes me smile and shifts me from the dark side to the light side.

3. Channel your emotion into something creative. Creativity brings with it a wave of excitement and high energy that will overpower your lower emotional state.

4. Imagine someone is about to take a yearbook photo of you while you’re in an emotional downward spiral and it will last for posterity. Have you ever seen what you look like in an emotional tizzy? Walk over to the mirror next time. Ooops! Better smile for the camera.

5. Focus on a happy thought, whether it’s a memory, a future event or something good about you or another person and head straight for that happy star. When you do, you’ll leave the emotional death star way behind you. Good-by Darth Vader. Hello Happy Days.

Good and Plenty

If you feel lack in any part of your life, an attitude of gratitude can shift your state of being instantaneously and align you with a higher vibration that will feed your soul. So look around for something that you are grateful for, whether it’s a roof over your head, friends, family, a clear sky, a pet, the utility service that provides electricity, heat, air conditioning or light, the garbage truck that picks up your garbage, technology, even peace-keeping forces. It’s not important what it is. The moment you realize how much support you have in this moment, no matter what else is going on in your life right now, you enter a state of grace.

You Deserve the Best Life Has to Offer

Always be grateful for what you have but never settle for less than what you deserve. There’s no reason to stay put in a situation that is bad for your mental, emotional or physical health. There’s also no shame in wanting more out of life than you have at this moment. By all means, if there’s something you always wanted, give yourself a brake and go get it. Desire is a natural part of life. It just needs to be tempered if it borders on hoarding or taking more than you need from others who are needy. You deserve the best life has to offer but so does everyone else.

If your cup is overflowing in the wealth, love, peace, wisdom and knowledge area, let it spill over to others who are thirsty for it without expecting anything in return. Giving unconditionally is rewarding in itself. On the other hand, if your cup is only half full, don’t focus on the lack. Be grateful for what’s there and drink up. Then go out and fill it with more and make sure it’s something that feeds your soul so your cup will runneth over as well. There’s no doubt about it. If you keep drinking from the cup of life, you will need a refill from time to time.

Thank Your Lucky Stars

If you experience success in any part of your life, thank your lucky stars that you’ve become one yourself and then illuminate the world. Thank and help those who helped you get where you are. Recognition radiates.

Here’s something else to keep in mind. Real gratitude is remembering to thank the weed whacker when you tread the beaten path. This includes those who paved the way for you, the ones who struggled so you wouldn’t have to, including parents, teachers and mentors. Consider yourself lucky to be the benefactor of their efforts. On a spiritual level, when you have appreciation and gratitude for them, the floodgates to their wisdom and experience open and flow freely to you.
It is more contagious than any disease and it induces healing on a physical, emotional and mental level. Plus it’s just downright fun.
8 Benefits of Laughter
1. Laughter instantly makes you forget about your problems.
2. It is good for the brain and improves mental alertness, memory and creativity.
3. It is an emotional elixir, allowing you to release negative emotions and experience joy in the blink of an eye, even if you have been stuck in an emotional state for a long time. That’s why I always say if you can’t make sense of it, make fun of it.
4. It decreases stress hormones which allows you to relax without the need for medication or supplements. Plus it has no side effects (unless you laugh so hard you get a stitch in your side -- hey, it happens).
5. It breaks down social barriers and puts people in real relationship when they are otherwise stuck in their own emotions or negative thoughts.
6. It is good for the heart and cardiovascular system.
7. It strengthens your immune system and has been known to be effective in increasing cancer-fighting cells.
8. It has a cleansing effect on the physical body. When you laugh, you use the diaphragm and intercostal muscles, which empties stale air from the lungs, allowing you to take in more fresh oxygenated air and prana to nourish your body.
When you laugh, notice how you take in a huge deep cleansing breath afterward and notice how refreshed you feel. So what’s the bottom line? Laugh and laugh often.
Recommended Video: Emotional Dump
To help you get started laughing at your problems, check out this funny video of an emotional dump of a distressed woman on an enlightened master. It’s good for a few belly laughs.
Since love is the strongest fabric that ultimately weaves the universe together, it can patch up the fragmented parts of ourselves and remind us how important we all are to each other, sick or healthy.

It’s extremely important to make sure a sick person feels loved and nurtured, especially if they are facing the possibility of death or permanent health effects. Things can quickly take a downturn in the face of devastating news if we don’t interfere with old limiting belief systems that cut off the power of the individuals involved to positively affect their health and accelerate their own recovery. When you get right down to it, the best cure for a lethal disease is a lethal dose of love.

When You Take the Driver’s Seat, Disease Takes a Back Seat

It’s normal for a sick person to focus on their illness and everything that is wrong with them because it’s such a prevalent part of their life at the moment. Pain can often monopolize someone’s life and their thinking process, which only makes matters worse. This is where your enlightenment training comes into play. Remember, if you mind it, your mind will make more of it.

It’s a basic universal law that energy flows where attention goes. So the more someone focuses on their problems, the bigger they get. Why? Because they feed them with energy. So there are two things they can do to deal with this: (i) do something about it right away or (ii) redirect their attention to something else. Either way, they will zap the zip out of the problem. As soon as they take the driver’s seat, their disease will take a back seat. And you can play an instrumental role in helping them do this.

10 Ways to Uplift Someone’s Spirit When They’re Sick

Here are 10 simple ways you can help someone you know who is sick redirect their thoughts, feelings, emotions and actions to experience something positive and life enhancing rather than the negativity of their disease. The more they are able to do this, the more they will come from the spirit within and vibrate on a level stronger than any disease, which gives them more than a fighting chance of beating it.

1. Stay connected. Make contact with them, either in person, on the phone or via the internet. You can actually visit someone in cyberspace now using Skype if you both have a computer or internet access.

2. Healing Hands: You can’t take someone’s pain but you can take someone’s hand. A gentle loving touch is one of the greatest healing miracles out there and immediately brings the person into the gift of the present moment.

3. Gentle Massage: Gently massage someone’s hands and feet. It has a peaceful calming effect and instantly reminds the recipient of the sweetness of life and real relationship.

4. Healing Music: Play beautiful soothing music. Music has an incredible ability to heal because it immediately shifts a persons focus to something other than their pain. It can also evoke positive feelings and memories which uplift the soul.

5. Healing Meditation: Healing meditations which focus on bringing love, light, peace and healing to every cell of the body can have a positive impact on a person’s well-being and health. You can guide them in a meditation or give them a recording of a guided meditation.

6. The Gift of Life: When someone is bed-ridden and is unable to do the things they enjoy, then it’s time to bring those things to them. As you remind them of all the things they love to do, the life will come right back to them and they will have a much better chance of fighting their illness.

7. Smile: Make sure you’re in a good mood when you’re in their presence. A sight for sore eyes is always a smile. It will lift their spirits immediately.

8. Home Sweet Home: Decorate their room with beautiful pictures of people, places and things that warm their heart.

9. Laughter: Laughter is more contagious than any disease and it has incredible healing powers. Tell them funny jokes. Show them funny videos, movies and pictures so they learn to laugh again.

10. Tell them a Good Story: When you tell someone a story, you distract them from telling their story.

Recommend Video: A Walk on the Beach for My Mom

My mom has been paralyzed in a hospital bed for almost 4 months now so it’s only natural that she gets depressed and focuses on the disease. There’s a very good chance she will fully recover so in order to lift her spirits and accelerate her healing, I not only used all of the above but I also made her this video.

You can overcome anything in your life when you have the right ingredients. This includes depression, post traumatic stress disorder, mental disease and any kind of addiction, whether it’s substance abuse, overeating or medication that is interfering with the full enjoyment of your life. You have the power to transform your life, no matter what anyone else tells you.
10 Tips to Help You Get Started
1. Reach out for support. You may be alone in your own skin but you are not alone in this world. Surround yourself with positive and loving people who are willing to encourage you and remind you how beautiful you really are.
2. Remind yourself that people love and care about you.
3. Maintain a positive attitude. Believe that you can overcome your obstacles.
4. Be kind and gentle with yourself in the process.
5. Do what you love to do.
6. Pick a goal or an area of interest and channel your energy like a laser beam in that direction.
7. Avoid focusing on physical or emotional discomfort because when you do, you give it energy. I’ll tell you a secret. If you mind it, your mind will make more of it. Hocus pocus refocus and do something fun. My mantra is “Action, Jackson Distraction!” Then I’m off and running in a direction that serves me and not the disease.
8. When depression or the desire to reach for the addictive substance hits, do the things that make you happy or take action to move your dreams along. When you do what you love, you come from the spirit within and vibrate on such a high level that disease and discomfort can no longer take a strong foothold in your life.
9. Listen to inspiring stories of others who overcame similar obstacles. It will not only encourage you but you can learn the secrets to their success.
10. Never give up. Give it your all.
Recommended Video: The Gift of Positive Thinking
I broke free from various forms of abuse and 2 1/2 years of being medicated into a coma-like stupor.
Are You Building Castles in the Sky?
If you’ve been dreaming about living the high life and you’re wondering why you’re not there yet, you’re probably building castles in the sky. Visualizing what you want can only take you so far. In order to wake up from your day dream, you need to take action right away. But not just any action – right action.
The Process of Manifestation
To help you get started, you need to know how the process of manifestation works. It’s actually very simple. If you can remember these four simple things, you’ll be up and running in no time.
Thoughts→Feelings→Actions→Results
Thoughts lead to feelings. Feelings lead to actions. Actions lead to results. This formula is from one of my mentors and author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker. When a thought arises in your mind, you either feel good or bad about it, or somewhere in between. Then depending on the emotion it evokes, you take some sort of action which will yield some sort of result.
Let’s break down a simple thought process so you see how it works. “I want to become a recording artist.” If you’re excited about the thought, you’re apt to take positive actions to make that a reality, like taking singing lessons, learning how to record songs, making CD’s, and meeting the right people so you get up and running, all of which will point you toward your goal so you see the result you desire. The more excited you get about it and the more energy you put into the realization of the goal, the quicker you will see results.
Now let’s say you have the same thought but you immediately think, “It’s too late for me,” or “I can never do that, or “I don’t have the money to do that right now.” Chances are it will evoke a bad feeling and you will table your initial thought and take no action to bring your singing career into fruition.
If you have mixed emotions about the idea and you force yourself to go into something half-hearted without fully immersing yourself in it with unbridled excitement, you’ll be holding back a lot of your magical manifestation energy and see fewer results.
You Can’t Until You Can
While we’re on the subject of singing, here’s a little enlightenment tip for you, especially if you’re thinking, “Well, I can’t sing so this doesn’t apply to me.” Take a moment and observe the negative thought. What was true a moment ago does not have to be true in the next moment. You can’t until you can. That’s enlightenment. Take it with you in everything you do.
I’ll tell you a secret. If you are completely tone deaf or don’t think you can sing and resign yourself to that sour note, you will never experience the magnificent voice that hides behind that negative veil. But if you take some time and sing at the top of your lungs, off key for as long as it takes until you get the voice you want, you will experience the extraordinary gift of spiritual manifestation. It’s almost like the universe says, “Okay already. They’re serious! Give it to them!” On a lighter note, no pun intended, the universe would rather listen to the voice of an angel anyway. So give it your all and see what happens. I did it so I know it works.
Next time you think something is out of your reach, think again. It’s time to start growing.

Positive Affirmations and the Law of Attraction
If you believe you deserve to suffer, then it’s time to change your mind set. That’s where positive affirmations and visualization can play a role in changing your energy and experiences. If you continue to harp on negative experiences, you will most likely attract similar types of experiences or people who feel comfortable talking about negative experiences, which is likely to keep you stagnating in a negative feedback loop. On the other hand, if you open yourself to positive experiences and begin to focus on happiness, abundance and joy, you will start to attract those kind of experiences and people into your world. You also need to take action as you change your mind set so that you ground the experience into your being.
No matter what has happened to you or what you’re going through, it’s important to remember that all souls are pure and beautiful beneath the many veils and misguided belief systems that cloud our judgment. Though the soul is pure, it’s important to keep in mind that most of us have been subjected to wrong conditioning and still need to transcend lower emotions like, greed, envy, hatred, fear, jealousy, selfishness, etc. To transcend these lower emotions, practice substituting them with higher emotions such as compassion, love, courage, and unconditional giving.
When Spiritual Visualization and
Manifestation Transcend the Ego
I recently read a blog post by Katinka, commenting on Pablo Sender’s article, Manifestation Through Spiritual Intention. In it, she tackles the issue of when visualizations and positive affirmations become selfish – are they simply a product of ego and nothing more than “unconscious black magic.” I think to use that word is a little too strong considering what is happening today in the spiritual movement. I agree with Pablo Sender that conscious thought and manifestation brings with it responsibilities and karma. You reap what you sow.
But I also believe a lot of self-help affirmations serve a higher purpose. Many positive affirmations are useful to people have been abused and believe that they deserve bad luck. I have used them myself to pull myself out of various forms of physical and spiritual abuse and addiction to medical drugs. Positive affirmations such as “I deserve the best life offers,” “I am beautiful,” and “I deserve abundance,” can be very spiritual when they allow beautiful people to give themselves permission to live from the spirit within again rather than subjugating themselves to the ill will of others. But as Katinka and Pablo Sender rightfully point out, affirmations alone may not be able to bring you happiness. They can only take you so far. You need to walk the talk. People ultimately know what makes them happy and they need to start doing it.
To address the ego component, if visualizations and affirmations are grounded in greed, hoarding or other selfish notions that disregard the effect on others and the environment, then it is misguided and not in harmony with the universe. I see many affirmations and hypnosis techniques being touted by multi-millionaires or want-to-be millionaires who are no longer grounded in reality and ignoring the karma of their actions. We are all in this together and true spiritual enlightenment expands its awareness beyond the self. But there must first be a self to expand beyond.
That is why, as Sri Yogi Hari teaches, “Your stuff is my stuff,” and it’s important to “spiritualize your goals.” When you do visualizations and use manifestation techniques, always come back to the heart. Be honest with yourself and ask why you are doing it? Will it ultimately make you happy? Does it bring joy, healing, love or right knowledge to others? Does it harm you, others or the environment? That is how you will know if your goals are spiritual in nature. When they serve a higher purpose, then you are in harmony with the universe. That is when manifestation ceases to be an uphill battle and becomes effortless. As you become a living embodiment of love like true enlightened masters, your pure thoughts begin to manifest miracles instantaneously and you step into a world of abundance where the impossible becomes possible. You become one with the universe and the need for affirmations fall by the wayside.
The Magic of Manifestation

When the impossible becomes possible: the power of positive thinking

Real magic does not come from a slight of the hand. It comes from a tug of the heart. When your heart is open to the magic of manifestation, anything is possible.

That’s me up in the photo, in Times Square, New York City on the NASDAQ building. And yes it’s real! One hour before my face flashed across Time Square on two different buildings, I was looking up at the larger than life billboards of television shows, Broadway shows, advertisements and famous stars. I wondered to myself, When is my sitcom going to be up there? Heck, when am I going to be up there? Then the thought quickly disappeared as my mind got mired in the ninety degree weather and the strain of walking in high heel shoes that were just too high for me as I trekked down the street to meet my husband at the NASDAQ building. I was going there to watch him ring the NASDAQ opening bell. When I realized my mind was on a trip down negativity lane, I hit the brakes, quickly turned the corner and lifted my spirits. How lucky I am to be here to see my husband ring the NASDAQ opening bell.

Moments later, I found myself inside as others were enthusiastically taking pictures. I thought to myself, I wish my picture phone was working but the phone store couldn’t get it to work. I really need it to work right now. Then I flipped open my phone and tried to take a picture, something I had done countless times without success and voila! Wouldn’t you know it. It suddenly worked! So I got busy snapping photo after photo.

Never assume the worst. Always ask questions.

As the professional photographers were taking pictures of my husband’s work team, they asked me to go up for a photo opportunity, I declined, thinking to myself, I don’t work there. It would be inappropriate. Then I quickly recovered and thought, Says who? Maybe I should ask someone. I walked up to one of the staff members and said, “I don’t actually work with his firm, I’m just the wife here to take photos, so I probably shouldn’t go up there, right?” As she grinned from ear to ear, she replied, “Nonsense. Family always goes up to ring the bell.” And that’s how it happened. I had a thought, I got excited about it and I took action which brought the thought into physical manifestation. It wasn’t what I had in mind when I was walking down Time Square only an hour before but somehow the universe responded to my thought process. Why? Because I acted on my thoughts. I asked questions and people who ask questions usually find answers.

The Swan Dive

Only weeks earlier I had another strange encounter with the magic of manifestation. My hard drive broke and could not be recovered. Unfortunately, it had a ton of film shots I needed to complete a mini-movie I was working on. For two days I was depressed thinking, I really need that shot I took of the swans in the river in my backyard. I have such bad luck. They only come during the winter and here I was in the middle of summer. It will never happen. When I realized there was nothing I could do about it, I started to work on other clips for the film. But the swans were always in the back of my mind.

While I was moving forward with my project, which had an impending deadline, I suddenly got an urge to walk down to the river. Wouldn’t you know it - two swans landed right by my dock. It was the first time in seven years they appeared during the summer. So I ran up to the house to get my video camera and raced back to film them. As I thought, Gosh, I really need a closer shot of just one of them, one of the swans swam away from the other and headed straight toward me. He was only a few feet away from me as I steadied my camera and filmed a picture perfect shot of him gracefully moving through the water and ruffling his feathers. Then I thought, Okay. Now I need a shot of them together. Wouldn’t you know it. The swan immediately turned around and swam back to the other swan. So I got busy filming again. As soon as I thought, Thank you so much! I’m done now. They turned around and took off gracefully for the sky and I haven’t seen them since.

It makes you wonder about the magic of manifestation.

Competition Can SendYou Over the Edge

Everyone is a winner in a friendly competition. Although competition can ultimately level the playing field, not all competition is good for the soul. It should never be about winning at all costs. That is too costly to you and everyone else.

Now don’t get me wrong. Not all competition is bad. Some of it may be exactly what you need and want at this very moment. It may take you out of your comfort zone so that you grow, improve, learn and move to the next level. And that is a gift in and of itself, whether you win or lose. But when a competition takes over your life and you no longer enjoy the thrill of it, then it’s time to re-evaluate your continued participation in it. If you’re not enjoying the journey, then you’re on the wrong path.

The litmus test

You can apply a very simple litmus test to determine if you should stay the course or if you’re steering off course. If you have to compromise your values to win, then you’ve already lost and there’s no point in moving forward on this path. Always stay in integrity and if it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, then make room for something else that feeds your soul.

Competition can send you over the edge if you let it

Let’s face it. Competition can send you over the edge if you let it. It’s only natural to get a few butterflies in your stomach when you’re up against others but if you get sick to your stomach wondering if you’re good enough to make the cut, then it may be time to cut out of the competition. If you don’t like the competition, you may be in the wrong game, and that’s okay.

Don’t let rejection fog up your own reflection

If you enjoy a friendly competition, then by all means, continue to play the game and give it the best you’ve got and have some fun while you’re at it. But keep this in mind: if you’re naturally a creative person and you give someone else the power to tell you that you’re not good enough, then you need to be prepared to trash a trashy opinion. Sometimes the best candidate is overlooked because someone has limited vision. So what if they can’t see you clearly. It’s just smoke in mirrors in their mind so don’t let their rejection fog up your own reflection. If you’ve got what it takes to make it, then make it without them. No just means not yet. So keep going. Chances are, there’s a better way and you will be shown the way.

It’s just a matter of opinion and that shouldn’t matter

There’s always a judge in a competition and a judge inevitably makes a judgment call. Did you ever watch a competitive sports event or creative talent show and wonder how the results could be so skewed from your own opinion? The answer lies in opinion. One person can look at someone and see a winner while another person can look at the same individual and see a loser. Does that make the competitor any less of a person? Of course not. The bottom line is that people have certain qualities they look for and if you’re not hitting their radar screen with those qualities, they’re likely to miss everything else you have to offer. It’s just a matter of opinion and that shouldn’t matter. Don’t let someone else’s doubt take you out.

You are beautiful inside and out, no matter what anyone else tells you. Did you ever look at a dozen roses? Some will bloom faster than others. Even though they don’t bloom at the same time, they are all beautiful together and each in its own stage of unfoldment.

The true winner does not always walk away with the trophy

Keep in mind that the true winner does not always walk away with the trophy. The most valuable player is one who won’t quit, no matter what. They may not get the crowd’s attention right away or score all the goals the first time around but if they’re consistently good, eventually everyone will take notice.
You Can Create Your Reality

You were born to be creative. If you don’t think you’re creative, just take a good look around you. How else did all that get there? You are constantly creating, every minute of your life. Your thoughts create your feelings, which create how you view the world and what actions you take. Actions lead to results. If you don’t take action, you don’t get results. If you believe that you can do anything you want, then you will act accordingly and create what you want. The key is action. Without it, you’ll be building castles in the sky.

The Creative Flash

Did you ever get a creative flash of genius at some point in your life? I’m sure the answer to that question is “yes,” even if you don’t remember. That’s good news because a flash of genius only arises in a genius. So congratulate yourself. You’re a genius.

Having trouble believing it? It only happened once or twice in your life? Everybody gets them, so what? It doesn’t mean anything?

What else lurks behind those foggy cobwebs in your mind where that buried treasure lies: that creative flash of genius that you never followed through on? Chances are you thought to yourself, “What a great idea. I wish I knew what to do with it.” Or maybe it went something like this, “I don’t know how to do that.” Perhaps you can relate to this one, “Wouldn’t that be nice…now what was I doing? Oh that’s right, washing the dishes, doing the laundry….”

I can’t even tell you how many times I hit myself in the head when I was casually shopping and I came across something that I had thought of doing way back when but tabled the idea for one reason or another. It was usually because I never thought I could actually do it or I had no idea how to do it. I had that same flash of genius but I didn’t do anything with it. And now someone else was making millions off of it.

A Snap Shot of the Future

I’ll tell you a secret. A flash of genius is actually a snap shot of the future. When it happens to you, you are actually getting a glimpse of what’s to come and if you don’t act on it, someone else will. If you can envision it, then the possibility exists to realize it. People who see the future see a potential future but people who act on what they see create the future. So why not join them.

No matter what your mind has told you in the past or continues to tell you in the present, you have the ability to bring your creative ideas to fruition in this lifetime. I don’t care how crazy it seems to you. The nuts and bolts of a creative masterpiece are often found in someone with a scew loose. You can do it. Just commit to it and follow through with your ideas.

A Bout of Doubt Can Take You Out

If you doubt that you can do something, you may just resign yourself to the status quo. And then you will never be able to bring your ideas to fruition. Let’s face it, a bout of doubt can take you out unless you know how to overcome it. Whenever your mind or someone else tries to get you to can a good idea, can the thought and replace it with, “Yes I can.” Because the truth is you can. Even if you couldn’t in the past, you can now. Think positively, feel good about what you want to create and then take action to actually create it. As soon as you do that, you will start to see results.

You Don’t Know Until You Know

If you don’t know how to do something, then learn. You don’t know until you know. What was true a moment ago does not have to be true in the next moment. So next time you get one of those flashes of genius, take action immediately. Write it down. Start turning it inside and out in your head. Jot down everything that comes to mind. Make a plan how you’re going to implement it. Do some research on how to get it going and then get going. It’s that simple.

Creative Juices are the Magic Elixir to Life

Creative juices are actually the magic elixir to life. When you’re creating something new, you become energized and expand your energy field and consciousness. When you surrender into the creative flow and let go of limited thinking, miracles occur. You create masterpieces. In fact, sometimes you can be so immersed in figuring something out and putting the pieces together that when you’re done and you look at the magnificence of your creation, you may wonder how you did what you did and if you could ever do something like that again. And the truth is you can because you just did.

Ready Set Go

Are you ready to start creating the future? Then it’s time to revisit that flash of genius and start working on it again. If it’s already been done, ask if you can improve on it. If not, then ask the universe for another flash of genius and commit to following through on it this time.

Most recessions are followed by receding hairlines. But that doesn’t mean you have to lose the hair on your head. You just need to get your head on straight and get the recession lesson. What is it?

STOP!
Stop! A recession with world-wide ramifications is essentially a stop sign for the entire world. It lets us know we’re heading in the wrong direction in our individual lives and as a group collective. The moment you recognize this and take a good look around you and the rest of the world, that stop sign becomes a pause sign. Why? Because then you can turn around and head in a better direction that serves you and a higher purpose.

Here are just a few things to keep in mind when you stop and evaluate your life in the context of a world that seems to be unraveling all around you.

No matter how grim things may look to you right now, the most important thing to remember is that we actually live in a world of abundance and there’s no reason that you can’t partake in that right now. It involves a shift in perspective, thinking and action.

Take inventory and use your assets

Take inventory and start using your assets. If you find yourself hit hard by the recession, then you’re probably not using the assets that you have. What are your assets? Material things, skills, talents, social networks, family and friends. You can monetize any one of these things and give yourself a jump start. Sell things you don’t need on the internet. Start using your talents and charging for them. Network with others to open new doors and opportunities for you. Cross-promote yourself and your products with other like-minded people. Use your mind and intellect to learn new skills to move you forward past your competitors and invest your money wisely.

If you’re over-extended financially, it’s time to start cutting back and lightening your load. Get rid of the stuff that weighs you down. The last thing you want to do is throw good money after bad. Consolidate and start budgeting. Cut back here and there. Look for spare change lying around. Look for discounts and cheaper alternatives. In a recession, every business offers coupons and discounts to make sure they still get consumer traffic. Check your favorite stores online and see what they are offering. It’s also an opportunity to negotiate otherwise inflated prices down to something more reasonable and affordable. If they need your business, they’ll meet your need for the discounted price. And by the way, half the things you pay for now are actually offered for free. That’s true for products, services and information. Start looking around for those miraculous deals. You’ll be surprised by all the money that suddenly becomes readily available to you when you do all of this.

You may also be able to capitalize on other people’s needs to dump assets at rock bottom prices in order to get cash immediately. Start exploring your options.

Greed is the first step toward bankrupting the soul

Greed is the first step toward bankrupting the soul. Never has it been so reflected in the outside world as it is today. Just listen to the news on any given day. Business as usual just won’t work anymore. Corrupt practices are sweeping almost every industry out there. The result is that we’re destroying the planet and ourselves in the process.

Greed can work its way into your life in very subtle ways without you even being aware of it. Unfortunately, it’s a very slippery slope. And entitlement goes hand in hand with greed. So take a moment, without judging anything that comes up, and take a good look at where it may have seeped into your life. Do you invest in the market hoping to make it rich without researching the companies to determine if they are engaged in questionable business practices that tug at the heart and moral fabric of society? Do you have more than you need? Are you on auto-pilot and consuming left and right while others go without shelter, food and freedom from abuse? Do you download things without paying for them? Do you swap programs, music and videos with friends because that’s a fair trade without recognizing that you haven’t paid the originator for their work? Do you capitalize on others’ misfortune by bargaining them down below a fair price even when you don’t need to? Are you giving back to the community in any way, whether it be with your talents, skills, time or money, especially if they are the ones buying your products or supporting you in some other way?

When you simplify life, you enjoy the simple things in life

Perhaps your life is out of balance. Maybe you’re spending too much time with work or things that actually don’t serve you and those around you. Are you doing what you want to do? Are you with the people you want to be with? How is your health? Are you exercising and eating healthy? Are you spending time with family and friends? Are you taking “me” time and having fun? Are you scattered in your thoughts and actions? Are you spread too thin? How do you spend your time? As you begin to take inventory of your life, you’ll start to let go of the things and relationships that no longer make sense. And when you simplify your life, you start enjoying the simple things in life. The result is more peace and joy.

Sometimes when you find yourself with a lot more time on your hands because of decreased work loads, it’s actually an opportunity to tune into yourself and find what makes you happy. As you do this, you begin to open up more channels to express yourself and live on purpose - your purpose.

So push the pause button, get the recession lesson, stop stagnating and start moving forward again in the right direction. You’ll pick up momentum and before you know it, you’ll be back on track – the right track.
